By creating an account or using CashScope, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal authority to enter into these Terms, and agree to comply with them. If you are using CashScope on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
CashScope is a financial analytics platform that helps small businesses and entrepreneurs track cash flow, manage budgets, analyze variances, and receive AI-generated weekly financial briefings. The Service includes:
- Cash flow dashboard with real-time financial metrics
- Budgeting and forecasting tools
- Variance analysis with AI-generated explanations
- Weekly AI-powered financial briefing emails
- Transaction and invoice management
3. Accounts and Registration
To use certain features of CashScope, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use at hello@getcashscope.com
You may not create multiple accounts, share your account, or use another person's account without permission.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use CashScope to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent financial data
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service through automated means
- Use the Service for any unlawful or harmful purpose
5. Financial Data and Accuracy
CashScope provides tools for organizing and analyzing financial data you input. Important limitations:
- Not financial advice: Nothing in CashScope constitutes professional financial, accounting, legal, or tax advice
- Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data you enter and for verifying AI-generated insights with qualified professionals
- AI limitations: AI-generated narratives and insights are for informational purposes only and may contain errors or omissions
- No guarantees: We do not guarantee that financial projections or forecasts will be accurate
6. Subscription and Payments
CashScope offers paid subscription plans. By subscribing:
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period

7. Intellectual Property
CashScope and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by CashScope and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our Service without written permission.
You retain ownership of all financial data you input into CashScope. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using CashScope, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Third-Party Services
CashScope integrates with third-party services including AI providers. Your use of third-party features is subject to those providers' terms of service. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party providers.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CASHSCOPE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CashScope and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or other conduct we deem harmful to the Service or other users. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the Service. Continued use of CashScope after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of CashScope shall be resolved in the courts of Alabama.
16. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
All insights, forecasts, variance analyses, and recommendations generated by CashScope are produced by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. AI-generated content is based on data you provide and is subject to the limitations of automated analysis.
17. No Guarantee of Accuracy
AI outputs are probabilistic in nature and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. CashScope makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose of AI-generated content. Forecasts and projections are estimates based on historical data and assumptions that may not reflect future conditions.
18. No Fiduciary Relationship
Use of CashScope does not create a fiduciary, advisory, or professional services relationship between you and CashScope. Nothing on the platform constitutes professional financial, investment, accounting, tax, or legal advice. Users should consult qualified financial professionals before making significant business or financial decisions.
19. Limitation of Liability for AI-Generated Content
In addition to the general limitations in Section 11, CashScope's total liability for any claims arising specifically from use of AI-generated content shall not exceed the total fees paid by the user in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. CashScope is not liable for any business decisions made in reliance on AI-generated insights, forecasts, or recommendations.
20. User Responsibility for AI Outputs
Users are solely responsible for evaluating and verifying AI-generated insights against their own financial records and professional judgment before acting on them. All financial decisions made using the platform are the sole responsibility of the user. The quality and accuracy of AI-generated content depends on the accuracy and completeness of data you provide — including QuickBooks-synced data or manually uploaded files. Inaccurate input data will produce inaccurate AI outputs.
21. Indemnification for AI-Related Claims
In addition to the general indemnification in Section 12, users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CashScope and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from decisions made based on AI-generated content, or from claims that AI-generated outputs contained errors that caused financial harm.
